Diagnosing, Shopping and Sight-seeing

Without letting our company know yesterday (Wednesday), I experienced a day of ear pain and a bit of throat pain (pain in the neck!). I started the day by diagnosing my ailment and treating myself with an antibiotic.

Ed, Ruth Ann, Bill and Bill take a look at the Stallion.

In late morning we all headed down to the valley and north to Ft. Collins to eat lunch at Cracker Barrel. Always good food. We wanted Ed and Ruth Ann to see the Stallion (a motorcycle trike), so Unique Rides was our next stop. We also wanted these guys to see American Furniture Warehouse and the PLETHORA of furniture pieces they have on display. It's quite a place with almost anything one would want for their home--and at reasonable prices. That was our next stop.

As we came through Loveland on the way home, my sweet husband stopped at DQ for a treat! He knows I have a weakness for ice cream. Back at home again, no one wanted a huge supper so when the time came, we had cold sandwiches and chips. I ended the day with another dose of antibiotic and an early bedtime.

When I awoke this morning, my throat felt awful, but it has improved during the day. The ear pain has been minimal. Bill worked at his computer all day from about 4:00 a.m. until 2:00 or so. I did some laundry and straigihtening up. The others spent the morning shopping downtown and tried the food at Penelope's Burgers. They gave it high marks.

We then took a drive around Dry Gulch Road and to the YMCA camp, then up to the Long's Peak trailhead. Big Horn Restaurant was open, so that is what we did for supper. After an evening of FNC, we called it a day.
