Sunday at our house begins early: Rise at 5:30, early service at 8:15, Sunday School at 9:30, brunch at 10:45, home by noon or sooner, watch a ballgame or race, nap (maybe), evening service at 6:30, McD's for a snack at 7:45 and then home.
On Monday I got some book work done in the morning and then weeded the yard and flower gardens in the afternoon. My mom stopped by a few minutes in late afternoon while I was showing my mom-in-law how to do some downloading on her laptop. (Remember our dial-up situation here? After 2 hours and 67% of the downloading was completed, we lost our connection! That means 'start over'!) In the evening we had my in-laws come to supper and visit.
This morning I went to babysit Creed (sick with a virus) so his daddy (recovering from stomach flu or something) could go to the office to get some pressing work done. This afternoon I'm working on preparing the music for Sunday morning. Bill has a village board meeting tonight.
So that he can join Anita and Kady at Six Flags tomorrow, Chris is leaving Creed here for the day. That will be fun for me--I hope it will be for Creed. On Thursday I'll have to get the windows washed and the yard mowed so things look nice for company on the Fourth. Our little village parade goes by our house, and several relatives watch it from our yard or the shade of the front porch. The kids gather up the candy thrown by parade participants. The grandparents and perhaps a few others will join us, Chris, Anita and kids for lunch and celebrating Creed's second birthday .
Saturday? That belongs to hubby and me! We'll take off somewhere to grocery shop, etc. and have lunch. It gives us together time when we can actually carry on a conversation.
