A Joy of Being Grandma

I spent the morning at Creed's house while his daddy went to the office to do some work that had to get done THAT DAY. Mommy and Kady kept their date with family to have a mini-vacation in St. Louis.

Well, Grandma is fine in a crowd, but alone? Creed was a bit lonely for all of them, but we took a long walk in the stroller and that took care of it. He pointed out to me all the various interests along the way: 'cycle', 'twike', 'puppy', 'burdie', etc.

At home again, Creed introduced me to the fun to be had in his back yard. He wanted stuff out of the storage shed. Grandma wouldn't refuse a request so sweetly put with a two-year-old finger pointing so adorably! Riding his trike, swinging, blowing bubbles, and throwing the ball brought us to lunch time and a short nap.

The next day Creed came to our house to spend the day and the night so Daddy could join Mommy and Kady in 'St. Joosis'. We played hard all day. Grandma got lots of sweet smiles and hugs and kisses, but when Grandpa arrived from work . . . WOW! He was the BEST! It was 'Papa' this and 'Papa' that! And Creed ended his day in the best place for a two-year old grandson: on Papa's lap with his 'blank'.

Creed is exhausted and
sleeping peacefully on
Grandpa's lap at the
end of a busy day.
