My husband and our son Chris are CPAs. At the end of "tax season", which essentially runs from January 1 to April 15, they desperately need a break. Therefore, for a few years they would pack up and take their motorcycles on a short trip into Missouri or Arkansas for some R & R. Once in a while, our son-in-law or my brother has gone along for the three or four days' trip. Last February my husband and I purchased a condo in Estes Park, CO, a very scary financial adventure. We have used it about thirteen weeks since then and have had a lot of company from home from time to time. This is where my husband and son took their annual "tax break" last year and this.
We are currently enjoying the end of that break and thinking of the trip home in a couple of days. Kadynce is a joy to have here with us. She has enjoyed go-karts, bumper cars, the local library, and sledding in Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park. It's been too chilly for a picnic, but I plan to take her to the Noah's Ark place tomorrow. She wants to take something to Creed, Jonah, and the daycare kids at home. So, finding something that's not too expensive and yet will please, should be lots of fun. I'll keep you "posted".
