As I said, I had not ridden a bike since my kids were small, so I was not ready to re-learn the skill of balancing and peddling while also learning to use gears and hand brakes. Therefore, this bare-bones, no-frills version from the 20th century was my choice. Husband said, "Once you get into riding the one you have in E. P. (with hand brakes and gears), you'll be sorry you bought this one." Okay, maybe; but for now, I like it.
And, yes, I have bought two bicycles in the last two months. However, this Illinois bike was on sale for $50 off and, in case I haven't mentioned it, the Colorado bike was found at a garage sale for $20 and was missing a kickstand. Two good buys.

I KNEW you would! What you, A., and M. would think crossed my mind, but I would not be deterred!
