Tomorrow morning just before noon we will begin our motorcycle ride west with John and Becky. It is to be about 100 degrees across our Kansas route. Whew! We plan to take Rt. 54 down through MO then Rt 50 west through KS and eventually to Montrose and Silverton, CO. From there we will work our way back northeast through Winter Park and Rocky Mountain National Park to Estes Park. This will begin several weeks of living in the mountains for us and hosting different family members who will be coming to visit through August and into September.
I know I'll get a bit homesick for IL from time to time, but I won't miss the heat and humidity nor the DIAL-UP INTERNET connection!! It will be nice to also put aside teaching and music responsibilities for awhile. I will, however, often wonder if I should be home because my kids or grandkids need me to babysit or help out in some way. And I always miss them all. Bill especially looks forward to being there where he can work his own hours--or not--and see the mountains from his loft/office window. I'll plan to post about our activities, our visitors, and pictures of same.

Oh sweet heavens, don't worry about the kids and grandkids!! Enjoy this time for yourself and have a fabulous time! Of course, if you feel bad enough, I could send a few grandkids out your way!!!!
Would you? Really? That would be great! By the way, email me again and tell me when you tho't you and the children would try to come to CO. Was it next year or when? Hey, thanks, Erica. We'll try not to worry about all of you.
