Following are photos from the Longs Peak Scottish/Irish Highland Festival Parade. The festival has been in Estes Park this weekend. The wearing of tartans, kilts, and tams has been all over town. At the fairgrounds are competitions in caber tossing, jousting, and other athletic events. Photos of those things at a later date since Bill took the camera with him this afternoon but didn't use it.
There is also information on geneologies, and since we knew that there was some highland ancestry in both our families (Carroll and Peck), Bill checked that out. More about this at a later date, but if you want to see him march in the parade in a kilt, be here next year on the Saturday following Labor Day!

We have more company! Brad F. and Jim M. arrived this morning during the parade. They hung around with the other guys at the fairgrounds then joined us all for supper. We'll be seeing more of them the first part of the week. Nice couple of young men.
