So Much to Do, So Little Time

One day to do several things in Estes Park before J & B head home--what to do first? What is morning without coffee, you say? Okay. First stop is Coffee on the Rocks for a late breakfast. This is a great little place where you can sit outside or in, watch the ducks or watch TV, get some sun or enjoy the cool.

John, Becky, Bill enjoyed breakfast with coffee on the deck of Coffee on the Rocks. John, of course, was often on the phone (as was Bill). As I remember, in the days before cell phones, vacation was really vacation from the workplace. Not these days--unless one shuts off the cell phone.

Actually, this morning we watched and listened to a guide giving fly-fishing instructions to a dad and his young son. In our uninformed opinion the son was responding to instruction better than the dad.

Next thing on the agenda was a visit to Unique Rides, Inc. in Ft. Collins. Bill and I had gone there with Chris and Kady a couple months ago so the men could see the Stallion up close. I think John and Becky were impressed with the ride and the comfort, though not with the price.

While checking out the merchandise there, they found another very interesting vehicle, the Ural cycle with a sidecar. I believe it was German- or Russian-made. The price on this was much less but so was the comfort and cargo room.

Quiznos is one of my favorite sandwich places, so we stopped there and at Walmart on our way back to Estes. John and Becky shopped downtown and were back when Bill was ready to grill steaks and sweet corn for supper. Sometime after, we needed a DQ fix. In that parking lot were two elk looking rather lost in all the flashing lights of cameras everywhere. They managed to get to the exit and across the street without getting hit. J & B spent part of the evening packing the trailer in preparation for heading east tomorrow.
