Heat, Humidity, and Housework

I'm too heavy, too old, and too "arthurized" to have a day like yesterday. Remember the marking off of tasks as they are finished? Well, here goes:

Mow the in-laws' yard as well as our own
Pick up the clutter from the weekend
Wash bedding and other laundry
Re-make the beds
Empty and reload the dishwasher
Clean the bathrooms
DUST
Run the roomba
Go visit Mom and Norm

The italicized items got done. Kady and I visited Mom and Norm this afternoon, and the bathrooms got cleaned today.

By the time we hit the showers last night, Bill and I were nearly down for the count. Because the grass was so wet and so high, I waited until afternoon to mow. It was 93 degrees, high humidity, and I was already exhausted and aching. By the time Bill got home, I was nearly done; therefore, he began to rake up the grass. I helped him bag it then limped my way to the house to cool down and shower. When he finally did drag himself into the house, he collapsed in the floor. He'd gotten too hot doing the grass, hauling the bags, and then cleaning out the eaves! Now add this little tidbit to the list--HE HAD GIVEN PLATELETS THAT AFTERNOON!! A cold, wet cloth and a fan helped to make him feel better, thank goodness. Have I mentioned that I really, really hate hot, humid weather? "The mountains are calling and I must go", as Chris' t-shirt says!
